GREAT WORK! Very atmospheric, reminds me of dipping through alleys at night as a kid, you deserve more recognition for this piece! also where did you get those vocal samples btw?

Azhthar responds:

Thanks a lot! Glad you like it! The vocal are done with Voice of Gaya "Strawberry" by Soundiron.

I like the ominous mood at the beginning and the melodies that come in at :12. It has a forlorn and distant feel to it, and I love the quirky instrument that you introduce at around :35 (and other places). I really admire your sense of harmony, especially around 1:20. I think you needed a smoother transition at 1:36. The addition of some drums might help with that. At the same time, 1:37 offered some important structural relief. The ending really threw me off, though. You should usually end your tracks on a tonic note, but instead this ending was simply inconclusive. This was especially disappointing, however, because the rest of the piece was rather impressive. Also, 2:55 was another spot where I think you needed a smoother transition. Overall, though, this is really solid work, and I applaud your effort here. Keep up the good work, Miguel-is-cool. ;D

Hey, thanks so much for the critique!! I'll go back and change it right now. I know I need to improve with transitioning and I've been working on that for about 12 years. I'm also really bad at making endings to songs because I never want the song to end..

I'll make the changes and update soon :)

OwlPeople responds:

What a coincidence geez, but thanks!

People who are saying this song is bad need to understand!

that its not a "mess of instruments and melodies" the genre is built around a complex mesh of Lo Fi riffs and fast paced percussion that fit together to make a happy pop future bass sound. If you are familiar with most future bass artists such as XXYYXX or Girrafage you will notice that most future bass is very slow but still has the complex melodies and riffs that float around a common "hook" riff. This sub Genre of Future Bass is more commonly known as Kawaii Bass or Japanese Future bass is hella fast and happy "less focused on the slow trippy trapesqe beats in other future bass" check out seablaze on Soundcloud Speciffically his remix of Pop It by Anamanaguchi, it's dank

Speedo responds:

thank u :-), ive never heard of seablaze before, they sound rad

Your drum rolls are hella smooth good job!

frootza responds:

Thanks!

The (free) Kontakt Player Funk kit doesn't allow for much, if any velocity articulation within the VST itself. So, the dynamics are actually quite flat for the drum rolls (as opposed to the semi-realistic dynamics you'd find in their pop kit, EZdrummer or other drum VSTs). Appreciate the review!

Lovin it haha
